Double Vision

About This Game

Created in just 48 hours for the Global Game Jam 2011, Double Vision is a platform game with a twist. Every time you jump, you flip between two dimensions - the care-free light world, and the nightmarish lands of the dark world. While the platforms are visible only in the light world and the enemies only in the dark world, falling to your death or being eaten alive are very real possibilities in either existence. Can you make your way safely to the great moose spirit in the sky?

The theme for the Global Game Jam 2011 was "extinction". We chose to use the idea of visual extinction, a neurological disorder which stops a person identifying two items when presented simultaneously. Thus in the game we only present the player with the platforms or enemies at any one time.

Double Vision was created by Team FAIL Hardest: Mat Simmons (lead programmer), David Prior (programming), Kate Killick (art) and Jason Thomas (art).
